About
From the UK, for carers everywhere.
CARER began with a simple, uncomfortable observation: the person doing the caring is often the last person anyone looks after.
Why we built it
There's help for tasks — rotas, forms, appointments — but almost nothing for the inner life of the carer: the exhaustion, the guilt, the grief for someone still here, the things you can't say to anyone. CARER exists to hold a little of that.
Caring is one of the most common and most invisible things people do. It can be isolating, relentless, and quietly heartbreaking — and the feelings that come with it are often ones people feel they're not allowed to have. We wanted to build somewhere those feelings could simply be received, without judgement, without being measured, and without adding one more thing to an already impossible day.
A little light, kept — for the one doing the caring.
How we hold ourselves to it
Non-clinical by design. CARER does not diagnose, treat, assess, or monitor anyone. It's a wellbeing companion — and where something is clinical, we signpost to people who can help. This isn't just a policy; it's built into the product so it can't drift.
Lived experience at the centre. CARER is designed around the real texture of caring lives — the six carer situations it holds were drawn from listening to people who have lived them. Before any features go to real carers, they will be shaped by patient and public involvement (PPIE) input to ensure they reflect what carers actually need, not what we assume they need. That process is part of how we work, not an afterthought.
Clinical-safety design. CARER is not a medical device, but because it touches on emotional and psychological wellbeing — and because carers can sometimes be in genuinely dangerous situations — we hold ourselves to a clinical-safety standard regardless. Every crisis and safeguarding route has a named accountable owner, is re-verified quarterly and before each release, and operates under a formal severity-1 alert if it goes stale. The product is deliberately non-clinical and non-diagnostic; where something clinical is needed, we route clearly and honestly outward.
Privacy as the foundation. On-device by default, end-to-end encrypted backups, no selling, no training on your words, no surveillance of the person you care for.
The organisation behind CARER
CARER is a product of Wellnetix Ltd, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom. We are a small, focused team, currently in development and early access — building carefully and privately before opening more widely.
We're not announcing names or funding before we're ready — partly because we believe the product should speak for itself, and partly because we'd rather introduce ourselves properly when we can do it fully. What we can say: the people building CARER care deeply about carers, take privacy seriously as engineers (not just as a policy), and are genuinely trying to build something that helps.
